The art that comes from plastic

Environmental Impact

Be-Done is an art installation with the aim of raising awareness of the consequences of incorrect disposal of plastic waste on our coasts and seas. The project was conceived and realized by Calogero Castellana inside the Mimì salon of which he is co-owner.

For the realization of this project were collected about 300kg of plastic, then washed and sanitized for the creation of the installations. Most of the plastic waste was recovered in just 400 meters of beach, in the nature reserve of Punta Bianca, province of Agrigento.

What was not used for the works of art was disposed of correctly in the appropriate centres.

40% of the recovered waste can be categorized as toxic: motor oils, herbicides and paints.
