Benedict Fountain Park

This project involves creating positive impact as our view every day is Benedict Fountain Park that is beautiful, full of life, and community, we hope to make it a safer and friendlier place that continues to bring value to our neighborhood and its community members.

Like many public spaces Benedict Fountain Park and the history behind it has been long neglected. With the help of the Uptown neighborhood, other community members, and sponsors we have been able to remove over 40 pounds of trash, connect with our homeless in the surrounding area, and work directly with the city of Denver on the treatment of public lands. As Let Em Have It Salon & Spa is located in a growing urban city setting we are lucky to have this open space directly across the street from us. We have partnered with Denver Parks & Rec to plant new beds, TerraCycle to recycle cigarette waste responsibly, and activated conversations with community members that frequent the park which is the goal and direction of this project which is to inspire responsibility and continued value to public spaces and its rooted Colorado history. As the project continues to grow our vision is to install cigarette waste containers, compostable doggie bags and waste bins, and host events such as a farmers market as an example to other communities to adopt open spaces as their own.
