Description

Men continue to face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. They’re dying too young. Men continue to die on average six years earlier than women, for reasons that are largely preventable.

To help make a difference, Carlton Hair has registered with the MOVEMBER FOUNDATION to raise funds for Movember. Movember is an annual event, which involves the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.

For the month of November 2017, Carlton Hair sold clipper cuts at R200 where all proceeds were donated to the Movember Foundation. Carlton Hair raised R38 800.

Carlton Hair male staff were also encouraged to grow their own moustaches to show their support and help raise awareness amongst our clients.

Movember is licensed by The Men’s Foundation of South Africa (TMFSA). TMFSA aim to provide fixed term sustainable programmes surrounding prostate and testicular cancer, mental health issues and the impact of physical inactivity and facing the South African male population.
